Ben’s Guide to the Government

If you know kids who want to know more about the Government, this site is really cool. it is set up wonderfully and is very easy to understand. You can choose from three grade levels, 4-8, 9-13, and 14 and up.

The lessons are age-appropriate. The youngest learns start out with basics like the branches of government, how laws are made, and learn about symbols, songs, and important landmarks.

Learners between 9-13 move up to topics like federally recognized tribes and the differences between federal and state governments.

Next is the election of Senators, followed closely by the election of Representatives. These sections will tell you how long the senators and representatives serve, how often they are voted for and such. Very informative. There are also government-themed games and word searches. I think kids will enjoy it (and adults, too.)
