Pets Welcome

Some of us can’t leave home without our best buddies—our pets. Now you can travel with your pet! By checking out “Pets Welcome” you can choose places to stay where your pet can stay too. Check out the Lodging Listings for over 25,000 hotels, B&Bs, ski resorts, campgrounds, and beaches that are pet-friendly.

Clicking “Lodging Listings” is just the start. Here you will find the ability to search U.S. and Canadian Lodgings, Search by Route for directions and the location of lodging in comparison to the city it is in, Check out the Cat section which is a database of lodgings that accept cats, find Fun Listings, International Listings, and much, more—so much more it would take too long to list it all.

I loved the “Travel Tips” section which has everything from air travel to moving to a new home with your pet. Here’s the list of what you should do at the vet before moving to a new town, or even state:

General Checklist
1. Take pet to veterinarian for checkup and health documents, apply for entry permit if one is needed; inquire about sedation for pet; obtain pet’s health record; schedule second visit to vet if necessary; ask your vet to recommend a colleague in the new city.
2. Obtain travel identification tag.
3. Check destination state’s pet entry regulations.

That’s only a small sampling of all great travel tips they have. Make sure you check them out. I love this site, it makes me a very happy camper to know that my pets can go where I go.
