Q:
Is there any way to view email attachments without having to save them to the computer?
A:
It depends on how you check your email.
In Outlook Express you can open any file you have a program for without downloading: Click the paperclip icon then the attached file. It should open up in the program you have set as your default to handle that file type.
With Yahoo Mail look in the “Files” section at the bottom. Click “View” next to the attachment and it will open in your web browser or default application depending on the file type.
Hotmail shows pictures as part of the email, but other files, like documents, must be downloaded.
I don’t see anywhere in AOL 9.0 where you can view a picture without downloading.
Happy viewing!
