Give It a Quick "Face Lift"

Give It a Quick “Face Lift”

Are you getting tired of the same old look when you browse through your MS PowerPoint 2007 themes?

I don’t know about you, but I have certain themes I just love, yet I also tend to get bored with the same look over and over again. So, of course, I had to wonder if there was a way to keep my favorite themes, while still getting a new look as well.

As is customary for me, I began hunting and was pleased to find a quick and easy way to give my favorite themes a “face lift!”

Interested in knowing how to give your old themes a fresh new look?

Good! Then let’s head over to the Design tab on the PowerPoint ribbon.

You’re looking for the Theme section, but it’s not the same area where you choose a theme.

What you need is just to the right of your theme choices.

Now, while there are a lot of changes that can be made to almost anything you create, I’d like to focus on the Colors button.

If you click on the Colors button, you’ll see an entire list of color schemes.

Choosing a different color scheme will give your presentation the “fresh” look you’ve been craving!

You’ll find that PowerPoint keeps the same elements in your theme, but it changes out the old colors for those in the corresponding positions in the newly chosen scheme.

(A quick word of advice: Take a minute to go through your slideshow after the changes are made. Sometimes a color will be unexpectedly switched to a figure you may have added to a slide, such as a shape).

There you have it. All that seemed old now looks brand new!
