How Do I Change Outlook Default Font?

Ed from Dallas, TX writes:

Hi Steve,

I just read about changing default settings for Word 2007. I tried doing this with Outlook (which looks a lot like Word 2007). I was able to change the settings for the current document, but haven’t been able to make these new settings my default. Is it possible? If so, how?

Open your Outlook Inbox and select the File tab at the top left.

Then choose Options

Select Mail and then under Compose messages, choose Stationery and fonts.

There you can choose a theme, fonts for new messages and for forwarding messages.

Selecting Font will give you a variety of options for size, style and color.

You’ll see a sample of the changes you’ve made in the Preview box as you make changes. When you are happy with the results, click OK. For the person receiving your e-mail to see the fonts you’ve selected, those fonts must be installed on his or her computer.  Otherwise, it will revert to a default font for that computer.
