Want to improve your photography skills? Well then tookapic might just be the site to help you do that. This site offers a challenge: take one photo a day for a whole year (365 days) and learn from those photos how you can improve your photography skills with the help of a robust community.

Want to learn more about the project before diving in? Well then you need to scroll down the page and check out the information they provide about the project – including a sassy section on why this is going to be a fun challenge.

Once you’re ready to try it out for yourself, you can sign up for free with either your e-mail address or by f-connecting to Facebook. You’ll need to click the activation link sent to your e-mail with either method in order to get started.

I chose to use Facebook, but this is the one time I really wish I had the option to use Google +. I use the photo editing software on Google + for just about all of my photos.

Once you’re signed in, you’ll be loaded on the gallery of the Most Popular photos. On the right side of the page there will be a Getting Started blurb that pops up or you can find some great getting starting links at the bottom of the page.

All that remains is for you to take your first picture and start the project. I’m hoping to improve my skills photographing our cats and dogs.

Don’t forget to check out the galleries! There are so many great images that I highly recommend looking through them.
