Since finishing up my last class of my Master’s program, I’ve had a desire to binge read books that aren’t academic. So I’ve been burning through my pile of unread tomes that have been collecting dust while I finished up the semester. I’m almost through the whole pile, so I decided to look online and see if there were any new book recommendation tools out there. I found iDreamBooks and I’m thrilled to be sharing it with you today!

When you arrive at the site you’ll find the featured books on the main page. By default it is set to Non-Fiction titles, but you can click to see the featured Fiction titles and Recently Reviewed in Top Publication titles.

The top right side of the page has the navigation tools you’ll want to check out:

Genres – here you can mouse over to see all the genres on the site. Pick your favorite and see what books are waiting for you.

Lists – here you’ll find the books on the New York Times Review, NPR Review, and IndieReader Curated Self-Pubbed Reviews.

You’ll also find the Login button up there, and the About page.

You can sign up for an account via F-connect with Facebook, or you can use your e-mail to sign up. Just fill out the form with the pertinent details, confirm your e-mail address, and you’l be ready to go.  Signing up allows you to rate books and receive recommendations.

Each book page notes whether the book has been reviewed by a critic (if so, how many critics), shows reviews, ratings, synopsis and author information.

I’ve really enjoyed using this site to discover new books to read, and I hope you will too!
