Welcome to Natural Atlas! You may use Google Maps to explore cities, but if you want to adventure into the outdoors you should check out Natural Atlas instead!

When you arrive at the site, you’ll find everything you need to navigate right on the main page. You can check out the categories either by using the navigation at the top of the page (Waterfalls, Springs, Fishing Access, etc.) You can also find them underneath the Explore section if you scroll down the page.

I also really like that it explains how it works up front. This is a community edited site, where you can find the following components for the places you check out: Map, Pages, Clippings, and the Notes are coming soon!

I like to check out the Feature of the Day at the top of the page. It features a different outdoor location every day. This lets you explore places you’d never even necessarily know about.

Right now the locations are limited to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado, but it’s steadily expanding as more users participate. And even limited to those four states there are over 1,000,000+ locations to explore.

Go check it out for yourself today!
