Good news for all you Negative Nellies out there, who have been asking for a “dislike” button for Facebook.
Currently users are limited to only giving the thumbs up for posts. That doesn’t necessarily mean you actually like what’s happening in the post or news story. Sometimes it’s just that you want to follow the comments added to the thread. But the company is planning for than just “like” or “dislike” buttons. According to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook plans to add a range of reactions similar to the “feeling” options available when you post a status.
The change doesn’t come easy. According to Zuckerberg “It’s surprisingly complicated to make an interaction that’s that simple.”
Facebook currently has over a billion people using the social network.
