Welcome to Deep Space Maps! After catching an amazing view of the eclipse this weekend, I was really in the mood for more celestial exploration, so I went looking for a good site.

I found these Deep Space Maps, and can’t wait to share them with you. The site uses the Google Earth plugin to view 3-D maps in your browser. If you don’t have it, I know I didn’t, click the learn more link and you can get directions on how to download and install it.

After you’re all set with the plugin, head on back over to the site. You can use the buttons on the left side of the screen to select what you want to view. Each button has a menu, where you can select from within that category. For example, if you click Nebulae (cause they’re my favorite) you can select the nebula you’d like to view from the list.

Or you can use the links on the right side of the page to check out other cool maps that use the Google Earth Plugin.

This is such a fun way to explore the universe! Go check it out today!
