Why Is Your Site Using My Old E-mail Address?

We got this e-mail from a customer last week. “I changed my email address 4-5 years ago but for some reason you are still using my old address. How do I change it so that it stays changed?”

We checked his account and saw that his e-mail address was indeed current. He sent along this screenshot to show us where the problem was.

This is an issue that can come up with any website. In this case, it’s not an issue on the part of the website, but an issue with your browser.

The autofill or autocomplete section of your browser is remembering an old e-mail address and you need to clear it out.

Click here to learn how to clear it out in Internet Explorer.

Click here to learn about autocomplete in Google Chrome.

I hope this helps.
