Start a Resolution

A lot of people start the year out by making a resolution to change something about themselves in the upcoming year, or to learn a new skill, or to fulfill a certain task. A lot of people have already forgotten that they are working towards a goal by the time February rolls around.

I’ve made my goals simple this year: I want to read more books. I want to learn to sew. I’m attached to both goals in different ways. Over winter break, I realized that reading for class is not enough brain food. I need to be reading other books as well to keep my mental stimulation up.   Sewing is something I’ve wanted to learn to do for years. There are things I want to make like project bags, dresses, skirts, etc.  I’ve finally collected just about everything I need to start, so there’s no better time to commit to learning to do it.

But what if you’ve made longer, over-the-course-of-the-year-goals? Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone there to help motivate you to stay on the path? Well that’s what this site offers. You make a resolution and get assigned a coach to help keep you on track.

When you arrive at the site, you’ll find the instructions directly on the main page. You just follow the steps listed to get started. But before you get started, you may want to click the Browse button and check out the resolutions that people have made.

Click Browse loads a line of resolutions. You can use the arrows on the side of the screen to navigate back and forth through them. You can see what people have resolved to do, how many kicks they’ve received to stay on track, and get a sense of how people use the site.

This looks like a fun, communal way to stay on track with your resolution for this year!
