Are Ads Coming To Facebook Messenger?

According to published reports, you could find ads in your Facebook Messenger inbox very soon. The extremely popular app boasts nearly 1 billion users.

There would be limits on who can send you ads. Ads would only come from businesses which you initiated previous contact with via Messenger.

Not a surprising move since Facebook is encouraging businesses to make Messenger a primary means of contact for customer support and shopping.

Time May Buy Yahoo!

yahoo_mail1

We told you a few weeks back that Yahoo! is thinking about getting out of the e-mail and web portal business to focus exclusively on their share in the Chinese-owned Alibaba company.  Yahoo! has already formed a committee to talk to buyers and get the ball rolling.

One of those potential buyers is Time Inc. which not only owns Time magazine but also People and Sports Illustrated. Time Inc. spun off from Time Warner a couple of years ago.

  1. Yeah – the best thing that could ever happen to Yahoo which I have been stuck with since ATT tied in with Yeahoo – email program sucks big time and the news feed is even worse. Yahoo, like windows 10, is another one of those “something for everybody” sites that fails miserably at what it does, or, in most cases, doesn’t..

  2. I’m hoping this doesn’t stop users with Yahoo email. This is my main email, has been for almost 20 hrs.
