If you need a little more structure in your life, here’s a free app to help you get back on track and stick to your goals. Focus Timer Reborn for Android uses the Pomodoro method. That means you work for short period of time (normally about 25 minutes) and then take a five-minute break. Using this app, you can adjust those work and rest periods to whatever you like.
After a few work and rest sessions, you’re able to schedule a longer break. But you won’t be able to quit early or stop in the middle – that’s not how the Pomodoro method works. You have to power on through.
The app keeps a calendar of all your working sessions so you can track your progress and see if you’ve been meeting your goals.
You have a bit of flexibility to adjust the color theme and you can choose from multiple languages. The app points out (so I will, to0) that it is not officially affiliated with the Pomodoro Technique. Click here to check it out in the Google Play Store.
Or go to the Play Store on your phone and search Focus Timer Reborn. I’m going to put this to the test this weekend with a writing and editing session. I’ll let you know what happens. If you download it and check it out, let me know if it worked for you.
