If you subscribe to Microsoft’s Office 365 service, you can activate it on up to 5 PCs or Macs for your $99 a year Office 365 Home subscription.. I explained how that worked yesterday. Click here for that article.
But you can also share that subscription with four other people. The person you share with will be able to download and use Office and have their own TB of OneDrive storage.
Here’s how to do it. Open a browser on your PC and got to www.office.com. Sign in under the account that you used to activate your Office 365 subscription.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page that opens and choose My Account.
Under Office 365 Home, choose Share Office 365.
You’ll see this page that displays how many people you’ve shared your subscription with.
Scroll down and click Add people now.
Type the email address of the person you’d like to allow to activate the subscription and press send. They’ll receive an invitation to download and activate the program. Make sure you let the person know ahead of time that the request is coming, so they don’t think it’s some type of scam. Also, don’t you ever click on an email like that unless you’ve confirmed with someone that they are sharing their subscription with you.
It’s a pretty nice feature.
