If you’ve updated your iPhone or iPad to the new iOS 11 operating system, it’s time to update again to iOS 11.0.1.

Apple is issuing an emergency update to fix a problem with Microsoft email.  Unless users update to iOS 11.1, they probably won’t be able to send email with Outlook.com, Office 365,  or a Microsoft Exchange account. That leaves millions of folks without the ability to send or respond to emails on their phones or tablet. Instead, they’ll see this error:  “Cannot Send Mail. The message was rejected by the server”.

Here’s how to update.  Tap Settings and then General.

Then choose Software update followed by Download and install.

You may need to enter your passcode. Then agree to terms and install. Make sure to back everything up in iCloud before doing the software update.
