Here’s a tip that comes in handy almost every day. If you’re new to Macs, you might not have mastered how to copy and paste yet. Fortunately, it’s not much different than a PC.

To copy and paste, highlight the text or click on the file you wish to copy and press the Command Key + the C key.  (In Windows it’s Ctrl + C)   You’ll find the Command key next to the spacebar. If you’d prefer to cut text, use Command + X.

To paste an item, press Command + V.  You can also copy files by clicking and holding on them and holding down the option key. You’ll see a little plus sign by the file that indicates you’re making a copy.
