I introduced you to the free online photo editor LunaPic earlier in the year. You can click here to read all about it.

This free online service will work with your Mac, PC, or Linux computer.

Today, I thought we’d have a little fun with some of the artistic effects available on the site. We’ll start by clicking here to¬†go the main page and selecting Art from the menu.

Look at the long, long list of choices from the drop-down menu.

To use these amazing filters, we first need to pick an image. Click Edit a photo on the front page. Then add the photo from your PC.

Let’s pick an artistic effect. I’ll choose Famous Art Works.

Just take a gander at all of the options.

Let’s try a few of them out. Just click the style to apply it. Here’s Fairy at 100%.

Click and pull the slider bar to adjust the intensity of the effect.

Click Undo if you change your mind about the effect.

You’ll see suggestions for other effects as well. Note that you can check a box to preserve your colors when you change the effect.

To help come up with ideas, I’d suggest clicking on Example Art. You’ll see a library of images.

Click on an image and you’ll see the before and after and which effect was used to achieve it.

With so many styles to play with, you can have hours of fun applying filters. Give it a try.
