This site offers such a cool use of augmented reality. In 1990, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum was robbed of several masterpieces. Now using augmented reality, those masterpieces are digitally restored to the museum. How cool is that?

When you arrive at the site, you’ll scroll down the page to learn more about the stolen artwork, the project of restoring it, and more.

I highly recommend taking the time to watch the videos. They’re all under 30 seconds and give you an idea of how museum visitors experience the augmented reality of restored paintings.

This is a really cool project! Go check it out for yourself!
