Folks don’t need to send faxes as often as they used to these days, but sometimes it still comes up.

You’will need to have Windows Fax and Scan installed on your PC and activated. To make sure it’s turned on, open Control Panel. (You can enter Control Panel in the search box and click on the result.)

Here’s what you’ll see in Windows 10.

Here’s the view in Windows 7.

Type programs and features in the search box and click on the result.

This Window will open.

In the panel on the left, select Turn Windows features on or off.

Scroll down to Print and Document Services and click the + sign.

Tick the box next to Windows Fax and Scan.

Now, open up Windows Fax and Scan.
