Here’s a quick trick to try if your PC starts to slow down after you’ve been working for a bit. You could open up Task Manager to shut down any idle processes or you could create a shortcut that allows you to take care of all of them with a click. Right-click on any blank spot on your desktop. Select New and then Shortcut.

A window will open asking what you’d like to create a shortcut for. Copy and paste the following:

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

If you choose to type it in, it must read exactly like above. There’s a space between exe and adv.  Then click Next.

Name the shortcut whatever you like and click Finish.

The shortcut will appear on your desktop. Just double-click to run.
