In my life, there are a few key professionals I depend on. My hairdresser Jamie, our mechanic at Beverly Auto, and Ed at the comic book store. So when I received this message from Eddie, you can bet I answered ASAP.

Ed was in the process of setting up a new laptop at the store and needed to know how to turn off the precision touchpad settings. Fortunately, I literally wrote the book on Windows 10 and the solution is super-simple.

Click the Settings Icon in the Start Menu.

Choose Devices.

Then select Touchpad.

You can turn the touchpad off clicking or tapping the button.  Or choose to have it turn  off when you have a mouse plugged into the laptop.  This is also where you can control the cursor speed.
