A reader tipped me off to a solution to a problem with the Windows 10 Start Menu. Normally, you can have the Start Menu show your most used programs.
But a reader found that option missing in his Start Menu.
Normally, to turn on Most Used, you click Settings.
Then Personalization.
Select Start and turn on Show most used apps. Here, you can see that option is grayed out.
Here’s how to fix it. Go back to Settings and choose Privacy.
Under General, turn on Let Windows track app launches.
The option to show Most used is now back under your Start options. Just click to turn it on.
You’ll now see your most used apps in the Start Menu.
