I enjoy cooking and baking. What I don’t enjoy is finding out I’m missing that one ingredient that I need to finish a recipe. Or finding a recipe that sounds delicious but requires an ingredient I don’t enjoy or have issues eating.
I’ve found a great site for when this happens, a baking and cooking ingredient substitution chart from What’s Cooking America.
The interface is super-simple. The ingredients are listed in alphabetical order. You’ll find replacements for spices, how substitute for self-rising flour, and what to do if you don’t have the right kind of dairy products.
