Remove a Firefox extension

Yesterday, I told you about a reader who was having a problem removing a program:

“I downloaded a program called  Craftery XLS  and would like to know how to remove it. I cannot find it anywhere. I use Win 10 and Firefox.”

I part 1 of this article, we covered how to remove a Windows 10 app, but this same program is available as an extension for Firefox and for Chrome. If you’ve installed an extension for a browser, it’s not going to show separately under your apps and programs on Windows. (You can click here to learn how to remove a Windows 10 app.)  Here’s how to remove a Firefox extension.

Open the Firefox browser and click the 3-dot menu. Choose Add-Ons from the drop-down menu.

This window will open. Either scroll down or search for the add-on by name.

Once you find it, just click on Remove.

You’ll be notified when the extension is removed.
