Dropbox adds limits to free accounts

Dropbox is a cloud storage service that offers both free and paid plans for storing files. The free plan gives you 2GB of space that you can access from multiple devices.

The company has made a change to that free plan. Previously, you could access your account from as many devices as you pleased.

For example, PC, Mac, tablet, and multiple phones. Now, they’ve put some restrictions in place. Those with free accounts can now only access them from a total of three devices.

That could mean three computers or a tablet, phone, and Mac.

Users of the free plan who previously linked devices to their accounts before March of 2019 will still be able to access their files from all of those devices. But they won’t be able to add additional devices without removing some of their existing ones. New users will only have the option to link three devices.

Folks who pay for a plan will still be able to link an unlimited number of devices. The basic storage plan starts at $9.99 a month for 1 TB of space.
