With Windows 10, you can do a whole lot just by using your voice. We’ve already covered the many things Cortana can do from opening programs to sending emails. Today, we’ll check out some basics of Speech recognition and dictation on your PC.
To use dictation, open a program like Note Pad, Word Pad, or Word and press the Windows Key + H. The dictation box will appear at the top.
The PC will make a little bloop and you’ll see Listening in the box. Or just click the microphone.
Start talking and your words should appear in the program.
This also works with email programs, web browsers and just about anything else where you might need to type.
