If you access your email online using the Chrome browser, you can easily create a shortcut to go straight to your mail. For this demonstration, I’ll use Gmail, but it would work the same with any other email provider like Outlook.com, AOL, or Yahoo.
Here’s how:
Open your inbox in Chrome and click on the three-dot menu icon at the top right.
Choose More tools from the drop-down menu.
Click on Create shortcut.
You can rename your shortcut if you like by typing the box. When you’re finished, click on Create.
Your shortcut will appear on the desktop.
If you’d prefer a taskbar shortcut just click on the icon and drag it down to the taskbar or right-click and chose Pin to taskbar from the menu that opens.
Just click the shortcut to open your mail.
