Rare Sea Wolves

This amazing site introduced me to a kind of wolf I didn’t even know existed, the sea wolves of British Columbia.

These beautiful animals are known for swimming long distances between islands as they hunt their prey — sea animals.  These wolves don’t just behave differently from other wolves, DNA studies show they are genetically distinct and physically different from their counterparts who live on the mainland of Canada.

Check out amazing photographs by Ian Mcallister of these animals in action and fascinating facts about these unique creatures.
