Windows 10 makes it pretty easy to share files with nearby devices. Both devices will need to be running Windows 10 and have Bluetooth or WiFi enabled.
You’ll have to turn on nearby sharing for both computers. Click on the Action Center at the bottom right of your taskbar. Then click on Nearby sharing to turn it on.
To share a document or photo, open File Explorer, select a file, and then click the Share tab at the top.
Then click the green Share icon at the top left.
Choose the device you want to share with.
The recipient will have a choice to Save & open, Save, or Decline the document. Saved items go to the Downloads folder by default. You’ll receive a notification that the document has been accepted.
