There’s no online option for requesting a receipt for your message. However, if you use an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird on your PC, you can request a receipt.
For those who aren’t familiar with the term, an email client is a program that you install on your computer that’s specifically designed for downloading copies of your email. Email clients often offer more features that sending your messages using a browser.
If you use the Outlook Email client on your computer, it’s easy to request a receipt. Just click the options menu in a new message.
Choose the three-dot menu icon for more. You can then select Delivery receipt or Read receipt from the drop-down menu.
If you use Thunderbird, start a new email, click on Options, then choose Return receipt from the drop-down menu.
