For example, Open Toonz. This open-source animation software was used to create some of the best-known animated features in the world. Open Toonz is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

As well as “filming” and adding effects. More effects can be added by installing various plug-ins.
This is not a program for the casual user. But it is a great option for experts or a someone ready to dive into the manuals and videos and learn how to use it.
