Windows Color Picker

Yesterday I showed you how to download and install PowerToys, a collection of utilities for Windows 10. (Click here to read that article) Today, I’ll show you how to use one of those utilities, called Color Picker.

Color Picker lets you click on a color anywhere in Windows 10 and copy it to your clipboard. To open, press Win + Shift + C.

This screen will pop up:

Click the eye-dropper icon and hover anywhere on the screen. It will select whatever color is on the screen and tell you exactly what that color is. This is really helpful if you need to match a color for a graphic. You’ll see HEX, RGB, and HSL representations of color.

Click on the one you want to copy to your clipboard.

Open your clipboard and you’ll see the color values. Just use the past command or Ctrl + V to paste.
