A reader has a question about email on a phone:
“When I “Reply” to an email on my PC, I like to delete the person’s message and possibly lots of photos or information. Why send it back to them???? I would like to know how to do that on the phone also. “
You don’t say which phone you’re using or which email client. I’ll demonstrate how to do it on the Android Mail App and on the Gmail app on Android.

I’ll hit the reply button.

The reply message opens. Uncheck the box next to Include previous messages.

And you get a clean slate.

In the Gmail app, I’ll hit reply and then press and hold until I get this menu. Then I’ll choose Select All.

Once all the content is highlighted, I’ll hit the delete key on the keyboard.
