If it’s taking a little too long to get search results in Windows 10, you may be searching through too many files. Let’s check out the options. Start by typing Windows Search Settings into the search box and click on the results.
This window will open.
Here you can choose where your PC searches for files. Select Classic and Windows will only look in your libraries and on the desktop for files. Pick enhanced and it will search your entire PC, which can take a while. But if you’re not able to find a particular file, it may help.
You can also exclude certain folders. Just click on Add an excluded folder and then choose a folder to exclude from File Explorer.
