Welcome to This is Sand! This site allows you to make digital sand art with the click of your mouse. You can also download the app for your iPhone or Android phone.
To begin, click Play Now. This will load the canvas for your project.
In the top right corner of the page, you’ll find the color palette. Click it and it will open up across the canvas so you can select the color you want to use.
Once you’ve selected a color, hold the left mouse button down and drag your mouse across the screen to start filling it with sand.
Switch colors and create your next layer of color. Repeat the process until your piece is complete. Once you’ve finished it, click the button with three lines in the top left corner. Then select the Finish button.
You can then name the piece and put your name to it and share it in the gallery. Or you can discard it and start over.
This is a really fun way to pass the time, and I bet kids would get a real kick out of it! Sand art with no mess!
