Move Windows 11 Start Button Back to the Left

Probably the most noticeable change in the look of Windows 11 is that the Start Button and Search Icon are in the middle of the Taskbar instead of at the left, where that button’s been located for decades.

Fortunately, it’s pretty simple to move it back to the familiar left side if you prefer. Start by right-clicking on a blank spot on your Taskbar. Then choose Taskbar settings.

Choose Personalization, then scroll down to Taskbar alignment.

Click the drop-down arrow next to Taskbar behaviors.

Choose Taskbar alignment.

Choose Left.

Your Start Button and Taskbar icons will now align on the left.
