Shortcut to My Documents

I use Windows Explorer many times every day. It is very annoying that it always opens in My Docs, which I never use. Is there any way to force it to open in My Computer?

Windows Explorer, also known as the My Documents window, is pretty handy. No wonder you want to make it more accessible. You can go one better than the My Computer window, though. You can create a desktop shortcut for My Documents or any other folder in your system!

Right-click on the desktop, scroll down to New and choose Shortcut.

The Create Shortcut window will open. Click Browse and the Browse for Folder window will open. Highlight My Documents and click OK.

There. Now you’ll have easy, one-click access to My Documents.
