Change the Link Bar

I’m back for one more FrontPage tutorial, so let’s get started! Today I am going to talk about changing the appearance of the link bar on your Web pages. Out of all the themes that are available in FrontPage, there may be a certain one that you just absolutely love. But, there’s one problem. You don’t like the way the link bar looks with it. What to do, what to do?

Well, it’s no problem. It’s not hard at all to change the appearance of your link bar. To do this, just open up any of your existing Web pages (any one that you have designed up to this point). Once you’re in there, right click on the link bar. A drop down menu will appear and you’re going to want to choose Link Bar Properties.

Now, the Link Bar Properties window will come up on your screen and you can click on the Style tab. Once in there, you can look through the choices that FrontPage offers and just simply choose the one you would like to use. Take your time and make sure you pick the link bar design that you will be happy with. (If you don’t, you know you can always go back and change it again though!)

Now, once you have your design chosen, you can play around with it a little. For example, if you want your link bar’s theme to appear in a more vivid hue, you can click on Vivid Colors and choose what you want.

You can even add an interactive effect to your links. If you do this, a special effect will appear every time one of your viewers goes to click on one of your links. That would be cool, wouldn’t it?! To do this, just click on the Use Active Graphics and choose from the list of choices.

There’s so many things you can do with your link bar, it’s amazing! If you decide to change yours up a little, it will definitely add some personal touch to your site!

Have fun!
