I’m sure you’ve seen lots of baby name sites out there, but now there’s one to help you name your pet! This site really does it all too. You can even find out what your pet’s name means!
Navigation is fairly simple. There is the side menu and the links in the middle of the page. In the middle of the page, you’ll find the link to find out what your pet’s name means. You’ll also find the place to sign up for the free newsletter and the link to the photographer’s gallery. In addition to those, there is a link to the featured article.
The side menu has the following categories: Pet Name Search Engine, Top 20 Names, Names of the Month, Your Suggestions, Single Name Search, E-cards, Paired Name Search, Alphabetical Search, Photo Gallery, Naming Tips and more.
Pet Name Search Engine – This is the heart of this site and the reason you are here! This is where you put in your information to start searching. Mark whether it is a cat or dog, male or female and then you can make it more specific by choosing a category from the drop down box. Or you can leave it open and not mark anything in the drop down box. When you have all the fields filled the way you want them, click the Fetch button. The categories in the drop down box are awesome too. There’s things like music, cartoons, historical and many more.
Top 20 Names – This is where you can find a listing of the top 20 names. Fill out the information you want to search by like you did previously and you’ll get your top 20 listing! You also have the option to get the Top 40 and 60.
Names of the Month – Here you can find the top names for each category for each month. You can even check out the archived names from 1998 to 2005.
Your Suggestions – This is where you can suggest a name and make comments on the site as well. Just fill out the form and click Submit Comments when you are done!
Single Name Search – Here you can look for pet names for just one animal.
Paired Pet Names – Here you can find pet names for pairs of pets. Say you get two dogs or two cats at the same time and you want to give them names that match. For example, Bonnie and Clyde, Coca and Cola, Dot and Dash, Gilligan and Skipper, Jack and Jill, etc.
E-cards – Choose from four images to send free e-cards to your friends!
Alphabetical Search – Want to just browse names by letter and not worry about the searching so much? Well you can do so with this section. Pick a letter and get started.
