Blown Glass Artwork

Blown Glass Artwork

I was reading a book on glass blowing and simply found the whole concept fascinating, so when a reader passed this site my way, I was so happy! Are you ready to explore Mark McCourt’s glass artwork?

There are two different menus on the site. There’s the side menu, which has all the art categories and the top menu, which has all the artist information.

The art categories are Vessels, Oil Lamps, Drinking Glasses, Sculptures, Ink Wells and Rice Bowls, as well as, Team Art. All of which are pretty amazing, but I really loved the Ink Wells. That has to be because I’ve been fascinated with quill and ink since I was about five years old. Some of the colors that Mark has produced in his artwork are just exquisitely beautiful.

Want to know some of my favorites? Well, I’d be glad to share.

Vessels – Egyptian Sands and Galactic.
Oil Lamps – Red Lamp.
Drinking Glasses – The beer mugs that look like clay. They are so cleverly colored.
Sculptures – All the flowers.
Ink Wells – All of them of course! No, seriously I adore the Traditional Venetian.
Rice Bowls – The Rice Bowl and Saki set were absolutely lovely.

While you are exploring, you may want to click on the thumbnails of the pictures to see them larger. You can also learn what technique was used on some of them and what he used to make the colors. I thought that was pretty neat.

On the top menu, you can visit the Artist Bio and learn all about Mark McCourt. Artist Photos is my favorite section on this site, because they are of the artist at work, so you can see a little bit of the creation that went into the pieces he makes. It’s absolutely awesome! In the Fellow Artist section, you can see some of the artists he’s worked with as well.

Lastly, there is the Contact section, which has all the information you need to get in touch with the artist. Check out this amazing gallery of art today!
