This has been an odd fall so far. We haven’t had our first frost yet and the ground is still soft and somewhat warm. I personally can’t wait for the frost, because it will be the end of allergy season for me until the Spring, which means sweet relief.
So, do you want to find out more about your state’s frost activities? To do so, choose your state and then look for your city. The chart shows some of the cities for each state. If your city isn’t listed, you can always drop them an e-mail at the address listed on the main page.
The chart shows three columns: City, Spring and Fall. In the city column, you’ll find the name of the city and in the spring and fall sections, you will see the dates of the frosts. The Spring column is the date of the last frost and the Fall column is the first frost. The site also reminds you that this is weather, not science, so the information could easily be wrong.
If you live in Canada, you can also find the frost dates. You can either click Canadian Frost Dates on the side menu or on the main page, with the states listed, you’ll see a link that reads “Click Here for Canada.”
Also, on the main page, if you scroll down, you can use the Temperature Conversion Calculator. Enter a temperature in either field and it will calculate the conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa. Pretty neat, huh?!
