The first thing you need to do when you get here is sign up for a Screening Pass account, which is free and it allows you to access some of the niftier features on the site.
Here you can not only check out how movies are doing at the box office, but see trailers, stills, comment in the forums on them, rate movies and much, much more.
There is a lot to take in on the main page, so let’s go through it. In the middle, at the very top, you’ll find the top box office sellers. Next to that, you will find the Top Stories, which includes director interviews to box office results to gift guides.
To the right of the Top Stories section, you will find the Showtimes & Tickets, Release Schedule and Most Popular sections. The Showtimes & Tickets area is a search engine. Choose either All Movies or scroll down the drop down list to get to a specific movie. Once you find the one you want, enter your zip code, city and state or the theater name to get your search going.
To the left of the Top Stories section, you’ll find the Latest Updates and Reader Polls. The polls are a fun way to give your opinion. Remember, you must be logged in to vote. The Latest Updates not only have box office updates, but gallery updates as well. So, you can see fresh stills from the highlighted movies.
The side menu contains a lot of these sections and more. You will see that it is broken down into five sections: Content, Box Office, Indices, Readers and The Site.
Content – This contains a lot of the aforementioned information, but here you can get just to those sections directly. So, it turns out to be pretty handy.
Box Office – Here you can check out the box office results by day, weekend, weekly, yearly and all time. Those are plenty of options on how you’d like to view your information, don’t you think?!
Indices – Here you can find out about the movies themselves. The categories are Movies A to Z, Studios, People, Genres, Franchises, Showdowns, Oscar, Theater Count and even DVD Rental.
Readers – Want to share your opinion or play games, vote or rate movies? Well, this is the section that will lead you to all those options, including the Forum where you can chat with other movie goers.
