ParentBytes

Welcome to Parent Bytes, a site filled with great advice on parenting. The advice here is not as general as on the Mom Ready site, but it’s still great. Here you deal with very specific topics like water safety, food allergies, starting school, dealing with your teenagers, etc.

Recent Articles – This section lets you delve into the archives of articles. You’ll find the link on the (left) side menu. This is where you will find the most advice on child rearing. To see the latest article, look in the column next to the side menu at the very top. You should see a flashing image that reads ParentBytes Article and then it flashes to Click Here. Click the image and you’ll be taken directly to the current article.

You can also browse the articles by the age of the children being discussed. To do that, look at the right side menu under Article Topics. You will also find article topics dealing with behavior issues, traveling, education and more.

Recipes – You’ll find the link to the latest recipes in the same column on the page as the most recent article (the column on the page with all the flashing images). That will take you to the recipe for Bircher Muesli: an oat, nuts, fruit and yogurt snack. You will also get some historical information on the recipe, as well as, things you can add to it or skip from the recipe. For more recipes, check out the Recipe link on the left side menu. It will take you directly to the archives where there are 10 categories of recipes, including craft recipes!

Book Reviews – Again, you will find the latest book reviews in the column with the flashing images. It is for “Bumps, Bruises and Bouncing Back” by Leigh Platt Rogers. You get a review of the book, as well as, a listing for what ages should read it. The Book Reviews link on the side menu takes you directly to the archives where you can not only see the title of the books reviewed, but their covers as well.

Musings – This section is all about raising your teenager and the problems and frustrations you might face during that time.

Tip of the Day – You’ll find a link to the tip of the day on the right side menu at the very top. When I was there, the tip was “Often the most simple toys can be the most fun.”

I hope you find some helpful child rearing advice, tips and tricks here. I really enjoyed the recipe section, but after looking over the rest of the site, the information seems so very useful that I just had to share it with you all. Enjoy!
