This Web site is about the first European pyramid found in Bosnia. The pyramid is still being excavated by archeologists to this day. The first page loads up with an image of the pyramid and if you roll over it, a black white image of the pyramid appears. Beneath the image, you’ll find the introduction. To move into the site, click the gray arrow next to the image.
New – This is the page that you load in on. It gives you the most recent news and updates. To return to this page, just click the New link on the side menu.
Image Maps – Here you can see amazing images of the Bosnian Pyramid, both locally on this site and from Google Earth. Also, if you scroll down the page near the bottom, there are links to some videos that you can watch about the pyramid.
Stories – In this section, you can read stories from the Bosnian locals about the pyramid. There is a story about the Pyramid of the Moon and a story about the Plateau that archeologists have believed to exist.
Excavations – This is the section where you can learn all about the excavations of the pyramids, what they are trying to find and more. Make sure you read the gray text box, because it has very interesting information about why they thought this area was not a natural land formation. It also explains what tests they did to prove it. Another amazing fact is that they are going to have to scrape off layers of moss and clean the stone, as well as, several feet of dirt before they can really start exploring. Check out the tunnel link from the gray box too. There are some neat pictures of the tunnels there.
Published Documents – Here you can read published documents on what they have found and surveyed so far. Two are .PDF files, so you’ll need the Acrobat Reader to read them. You can get it here for free.
Well, I’m off to explore this pyramid. I can’t wait to read the documents and see the images with Google Earth. They are sure to be amazing!
