In 2005, the game Sudoku became an international craze. My mom is even hooked on playing it. What is it? Well, it is a game you can solve by using logic. “The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid so that each column, each row and each of the nine 3×3 boxes contains the digits from 1 to 9.” (That comes from Wikipedia). You can learn more about the game here.
And now you can play Sudoku online for free! You will find the rules at the top of the page. To begin, just click in any of the blank boxes and fill in the number you think goes there.
At the bottom of the page, there are some buttons. There is the Done button that you can click when you have solved the puzzle or in my case, think you have. This will check your answers and tell you if you have solved it correctly.
Next is the I Can’t Finish button, which you can press to solve the puzzle for you. That button and I have been well acquainted! : )
That is followed by the Restart This Puzzle button, which will clear out all the answers you’ve put in and give you a clean slate to start from.
The Save This Puzzle button does exactly that. It saves your progress on the puzzle so you can come back to it later. Whereas, the Reload Saved Puzzle button will reload the puzzle you saved.
And last, but not least is the New Sudoku button, which will load a brand new puzzle for you if you’ve solved the one you are on. Or, if you’re like me, just couldn’t stand looking at the same baffling puzzle as before any longer.
Either way, this site is a real gem, allowing you to play as much Sudoku as you want for free. Enjoy!
