Virtual Volunteering Resource Guide

Virtual Volunteering Resource Guide

When thinking about volunteering, most people think of helping with the homeless or the hungry, but there is so much more out there that you can do. On this Web site, you will find many different volunteering opportunities!

The categories for volunteering are: International Issues, Health, Mentoring and Advice, Helping Seniors, Knitting and Crocheting, Animals and Wildlife and Professional Services.

There is also a listing of databases where you can find volunteering opportunities by searching the Web sites that are listed. Follow the link to the database Web sites and you can then start your own search.

Each section gives you a brief description of what the organization is, as well as, a link to the organization. Some have multiple entries under one heading, which gives you even more options.

You can also get great tips on how to apply and what you can expect when you apply online in the introduction section, which is under the More On This Story heading. You’re looking for the link of “Things to Know Before You Apply.”

So, whether you want to crochet or knit a blanket, volunteer with animals or if you just want to find a database to check out what opportunities are available, this is an excellent site to visit!
