Pollen

Pollen

For me, it’s that terrible time of year. You know, hay fever season. My allergies are already driving me crazy, so I was very happy to find this Web site. Here I can not only see how bad the pollen is for my state, but I can also learn about the different types of allergies.

In the middle of the page, you’ll see a map that is marked with different colors for levels of pollen. You’ll find the map key just below it. You’ll also see below the map the listing of the best and worst cities for pollen count.

On the side menu, you will find: Frequently Asked Questions, Allergy Information, Pollen Library and About Pollen.com

Frequently Asked Questions – Here you will find the most commonly asked questions about the site. You will learn a lot about how they make the pollen casts, get definitions of some of the terms used on the site, as well as, learn about pollen counting.

Allergy Information – This section will give you information on allergies in general, as well as, in these specific categories: Hay Fever, Asthma, Reaction to Allergies and Treatment Options.

Pollen Library – Here you can view the pollen map, along with the library, which is where you can search by plant (either by common name or Latin name). Or, you can even use the alphabet beneath the search engine if you’d like.

About Pollen.com – Here you will learn all about the purpose behind this site, who maintains it and why.

I hope this site helps you as much as it has helped me with my allergen awareness. Oh! That reminds me, you can even sign up to get a two day allergy forecast via your e-mail. Let me tell you, that has come in very handy for me. Check it out!
