Google Updater
So, tell me, have you ever heard of the Google Updater before? If you’re a true fan of the Google toolbar and some of the other services Google offers, you probably know a little about it, but if not, it’s definitely something you’re going to want to check out. The Google Updater is a little program that pops up every time you install a new Google service. Now, while that makes it sound like it could be a little annoying, its main purpose is to help you, so don’t knock it down just yet. Keep reading for all the important details on this nifty little thing!
Basically, the Google Updater is the program that actually does the downloading and installing of the Google services for you. (To be more specific, it works with all of the Google Pack utilities, which include the Google toolbar, Google Earth, Google Desktop and so on). For example, if you were downloading the Google toolbar for the first time, you could use the Google Updater to keep track of how the installation is going. With it, you can see how far along the download has come and how much longer you have to wait until it’s finished. It’s so cool!
Then, once the program has been installed on your computer, you can use the Google Updater to run the software as is. Or, if you ever need to uninstall something, you can do that through this service as well. Now, you can also choose to keep a Google Updater icon right in your system tray if you’d like. If you do that, the icon will let you know when new services are available or if there are updates for the programs you already have. The Google Updater is just an easy to use access point for all of your Google software. It’s so convenient to use and with it, you know your Google programs are in good hands. Get started with it today right here!
