CCleaner + Vista

CCleaner + Vista

Over the past couple of weeks, several of you have been sending me e-mails, asking whether or not the program CCleaner works with the new operating system of Windows Vista. I’ve also seen some posts about it on WorldStart’s message board, so it’s obviously a popular topic. I mean, many of you use CCleaner and a lot of you have recently started using Vista, so why wouldn’t you want to know?! Well, you won’t have to wonder for very much longer, because that’s exactly what we’re going to go over today. You don’t want to miss this!

The simple answer is yes, CCleaner does work with Windows Vista. (I’ll wait here while you do your little happy dance!) After doing some research online, it looks as if there are a lot of Web sites that disagree with that, but the CCleaner site itself confirms it. If you go to http://www.ccleaner.com/, you will see a little icon that says “Certified for Windows Vista” and below that, there’s a note that says “Designed for 98/XP/ME/2000 and Vista.” Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s proof enough for me!

Also, if you scroll down to the What’s New section, you will see some improvements the CCleaner team has made just for Vista in their latest version (2.03). For example, they did a complete rebuild in C++ to account for the changes Vista would bring to the program, they added a secure deletion feature to the Vista Recycle Bin and so on. So, if you’ve been putting off downloading CCleaner to your Vista computer because you weren’t sure if it would work or not, you don’t have to anymore! Just visit this Web site and click on the Download CCleaner Now link. You’ll then be on your way to sweet CCleaner + Vista bliss. Enjoy!
